GQI with tractography portrayed the locations of these components across the atherosclerotic vessel wall and differentiated multi-level organization of normal, pro-inflammatory cellular phenotypes, or thrombus. Our methods revealed new structural properties of advanced atherosclerosis incorporating SMC and lipid distributions. We compared rabbits with normal chow diet and cholesterol-fed rabbits with endothelial balloon injury, which accelerates atherosclerosis and produces advanced rupture-prone plaques, in a well-validated rabbit model of human atherosclerosis. We applied cardiovascular magnetic resonance spectroscopy (CMRS) and diffusion weighted CMR (DWI) with generalized Q-space imaging (GQI) analysis to architecturally define features of atheroma and correlated these to the microscopic distribution of vascular smooth muscle cells (SMC), immune cells, extracellular matrix (ECM) fibers, thrombus, and cholesteryl esters (CE). Current bioimaging techniques are unable to capture the pathognomonic distribution of cellular elements of the plaque and thus cannot accurately define its structural disorganization. I’ve had this problem several times, and it simply just slows me down having to create custom presets for different aspect ratios, especially if I’m working on different editing machines and don’t always have my presets available. By default, Premiere doesn’t have an anamorphic aspect ratio encode preset that will match the resolution and match the way finder interprets the squeezed file. This is extremely helpful in creating proxies for anamorphic footage, which comes in squeezed, and we have to tell Premiere to interpret that footage differently. This way you’ll have a proxy at the same resolution and aspect ratio as the original clip, just with a smaller sized codec. Edit Ready will interpret the file in the same way that Finder does. Edit Ready will match the aspect ratio and resolution settings, and can output a ProRes Proxy file, without having to create and ingest and encode preset within Media Encoder. Instead, I like to use a third party app like Edit Ready from Divergent Media for creating proxy media from Alexa footage. You’d have to create presets for each aspect ratio and that can become time-consuming, and again, all about efficiency over here. Premiere has the ability to create Proxies for you based on encode presets you create through Media Encoder, but if you are working with a range of aspect ratios within a single project, Premiere ends up being a bit of a pain in creating the proxies. You can read a full article on Premiere proxy workflows here. Premiere makes it super easy to toggle back and forth if your proxies and full-res media are both connected. Just like bringing in any media in Premiere, either navigate to the footage in your media browser or right-click in the project window and click “import.” Once your footage is imported, I’d recommend making proxies of all the media to speed up your workflow. These versions of ProRes are built for finishing, and ProRes is usually a very smooth codec for an NLE to handle-so getting footage in, organized and starting to edit is really quite simple. Specifically, ProRes 422 HQ and ProRes 4444 are the most common codecs I will get back from an Alexa shoot. Arri ProRes WorkflowĪrri cameras have the fantastic ability to shoot directly to ProRes. Footage shot in log will usually deliver a much wider dynamic range and give us much more control over an image than what REC709 can provide. Every camera manufacturer has their own type of log color profile, tuned to the hardware in their different cameras. On an Arri camera, choosing Arri’s Log C color space will utilize the full range of Arri’s powerful sensor. Pro-level cameras also capture their footage in log, a flat color profile that retains the full range of the camera’s sensor within each clip. I want to share with you some Alexa and Arri workflow tips I’ve acquired over the years working on commercials, features and TV shows. Arri’s ProRes and ArriRaw workflows in post are fast and straightforward, and that’s why I love the Alexa. All high-end cameras these days make an incredible image, but I really appreciate anything that makes my workflow faster and more efficient. But of all the cameras and codecs that we see on a daily basis, Arri footage is loved in post-production just as much as it is on set. On the post side, we usually don’t have any control over what camera package is chosen for a project, or how that footage makes its way to us. Arri’s ability to produce such a high-end image, in terms of color latitude and dynamic range have secured Alexa’s dominance as the workhorse for Hollywood’s elite cinematographers for digital filmmaking. It’s no secret that Arri cameras have become the standard of high-end productions across the film and television industry. If you are a fan of this genre then you will definitely need a hard drive unless you've got the patience of a saint. The game is supposedly very realistic in terms of interaction between people and factors, but total realism isn't always a good thing in computer games. When things like battles and the event animations do start to happen it does get slightly more interesting, but these events won't hold your attention for long. For instance, because it is so open-ended you don't actually have much idea of what you must do. Maelstrom is an incredibly in-depth strategy game and one which seems to have more bad points than good. The animations are quite nice, but they're definitely not integral to the gameplay and seem to have been put in Maelstrom so that you forget about all the other "basic" graphics. It's handy for finding those planets, but once you've found them there isn't a lot more the map can do, so it seems that this is quite a superficial addition that really isn't necessary. The sector map gives you a comprehensive representation of the entire galaxy, all presented inside a 3D grid. I suppose the only section of graphics worth mentioning is when you select the sector map or when an event occurs and you get a short animation. In addition to talking to these people, you can also view their personal files for background information. This is used for contact with all the important people in the galaxy, including your cabinet on Harmony. The only section where you get lots of visuals is when you're talking to various people through the Televid screens. Maelstrom isn't the sort of game that requires state-of- the-art graphics and most of the time the screen is full of words and figures for you to interpret to decide what you're going to do next. Maelstrom provides you with all the tools for interacting with an entire galaxy while controlling your military, secret intelligence network, research and mining operations. PAS Systems have spent the last two years developing Maelstrom and have tried to achieve maximum realism not only in terms of the mechanics of running a government and fighting a foe, but also in terms of the interaction between people and factors in the game.Īs in real life, Maelstrom features a galaxy that is never constant: its characters have moods, its technology is fallible, its leaders are whimsical and its masses unpredictable.
